WASLED / WASMON is a monitoring application specifically designed to monitor application servers and their associated web applications. In particular WASLED / WASMON can monitor these servers in a distributed system that are running IBM WebSphere Application Server, HTTP server, and any process that is running on a server.
WASLED / WASMON is known for short as WASMON. The WASMON application already comprise WASLED in its monitoring console.
The application has been written at Total Computing & Network Design, Inc. in New York. The application usage is detailed in the book IBM WebSphere Application Server Programming by Bassem Jamaleddine, ISBN 0072224592.
WASMON can open and send a ticket to a programmer or administrator. Once a ticket is opened, WASMON can also enter in conversation with a roaming operator via email.
In addition to monitoring and supervising a WebSphere region, the WASMON application offers many commands to enhance the computing environment of a WebSphere developer. wglance and wcrawler are such commands.
