Chapter 14

ASPL Basic Operators

Many of ASPL primitive set operators are built within the software. These primitive operators can be either setadic operators or binary operators. A setadic operator happens to be the leftmost symbol in an expression and may be followed by one or more set variables, or by a preposition. A binary operator is followed by two set variables. The following operators = *= *=* .=* are assignment operators and are always preceded by a symbol representing a named set variable, and followed by one or more set variables. The basic operators work on set variables to do operations such as merge, split, common, copy, push, pop, etc. The following chapter consists of pages describing ASPL Basic Operators.
